Mitsubishi Partners with CarStations to Create App

Mitsubishi is partnering with CarStations to create EV charging locator apps like those used on an iPhone and Facebook. The app will give you the ability to ballpark and share information on charging spots after purchasing an electric vehicle from Anaheim Mitsubishi in Anaheim, California.

The app will provide users with an "updated feed of charging station locations to their new mobile, Facebook and Website trip planning application." Users enter custom locations, or choose from the already uploaded 1,800 electric car charging locales.1

To deliver such information the app uses Google Maps and GPS for a real-time resource that locates stations in your general vicinity and sorts results to match the adapter you need. CarStations.com helps out by giving drivers a desktop option for trip planning. App users can share useful information with their community, including everything from a charging station's exact location at a gas stop to near-by coffee shops and restaurants.

The Japanese automaker's CarStations app will be free of charge for all electric vehicle owners on both the iPhone and Android platforms.
